About the filter basket
A brew group’s filter basket is vital for a great-tasting espresso. It ensures that the water is evenly distributed over the coffee grounds in the portafilter and acts as the ultimate water filter. It also helps the machine keep exerting pressure on the coffee. This stainless-steel model ensures stable and efficient water distribution, as well as durability that’s hard to beat.
Even if the brew group is well-maintained (fully cleaned and brushed daily for high-use commercial machines), the filter should be changed periodically, about twice a year for very busy shops. Coffee particles and oils will accumulate on the filter basket over time.
