History
AeroPress’ arrival on the market created a true community of coffee enthusiasts who love this device. Not only are there international AeroPress competitions, but there is also a documentary on this brewing system that was recently released.
The name AeroPress is a combination of the words Aerobie, the old name of the company that makes this gadget, and ‘press’, the action required to use the system. It was invented by Alan Adler, Founder and President of the company. Adler began studying the art of coffee brewing in 2004 and launched the pressure brewing system in 2005.
The AeroPress lets you brew a delicious cup of coffee in one minute (literally) with no acidity or bitterness. How? The brewing time is greatly reduced compared to drip coffee and the ground beans are completely immersed in hot water, which gives the final product fantastic body.
AeroPress is made of plastic that does not contain any BPA, BPS, or phthalates. The kit includes the stirrer, 350 filters, a filter holder, a coffee scoop, the chamber, and a plunger. The AeroPress Go takes very little space, which is perfect for storing in a small kitchen or stowing in a backpack when going camping.
