History
According to some sources, latte art (the art of drawing in the coffee crema using frothed milk) first appeared in Italy, while others say the United States. What we know for sure is that the popularity of latte art can be attributed to David Schomer, owner of the Schomer Espresso Vivace café in Seattle. He is recognized as the creator of the rosetta, one of the most popular latte art designs. Nowadays, latte art championships are becoming more popular throughout the world, techniques are constantly being refined, and the equipment used is progressing.
Fittingly, the Rocket frothing pitcher was designed to help baristas draw more easily from the crema. The pitcher’s shape is designed to make the milk spin in a vortex when heated with the steam wand, which is essential to obtaining the perfect texture. Its spout is also great for making precise latte art.
