Recette de café alcoolisé à l’amaretto québécois - Café Barista

On a cold day, there’s nothing quite as comforting as a cup of coffee with a little splash of alcohol, wouldn’t you agree? We’ve revisited the classic amaretto coffee recipe and created a simple drink spiked with our favourite Quebec liqueur.

Our Amaretto Coffee Recipe

Ingredients (for 1 latte)

  • Short double espresso (2 to 2 ½ oz.) using espresso blend*

  • 8 oz. of 3.25% milk

  • 1 oz. of Miele amaretto

Preparation

  1. In a latte cup, make a short double espresso.

  2. Meanwhile, pour 8 oz. of milk into a pitcher, adding 1 oz. of Miele amaretto.

  3. Froth the milk-amaretto mixture.

  4. Pour the alcohol-infused microfoam over the short double espresso. This is a great time to show off your latte art skills before enjoying your drink!

* You can use the espresso coffee of your choice for your coffee drink. We went for our Cremone Holiday blend, but you can just as easily use the regular Cremone, the Venezia, or any other blend from our espresso collection.

About Miele Amaretto

The founder of Montreal-based company Les Spiritueux Iberville, Mario D’Amico, made it his mission to bring Quebecers Italian-inspired bitter liqueurs that are 100% Québécois. We love it! Their Miele product is the first amaretto in the world to use organic Quebec honey, hence the name that includes the French word miel, for honey. When combined with coffee and frothed milk, it’s absolutely delicious!

We’re sharing our Miele amaretto coffee recipe in hopes that it will become a classic drink for keeping warm on cold days. If you’re looking for caffeinated beverages or coffee recipe ideas, be sure to check out the Recipes section of our blog!
